On 1st September 1996 Cheryl Kasselman joined Homenet Kriel en Versekering¹ as an agent and Principal and very soon afterwards selling her first property for R120,000. Even though she was the only agent in the business she quickly rose up the national ranks within the Homenet group winning many National Awards including Top Agent Units Sold three years running. With a demand for Rental Property in the market the Rental department was started and currently manages more than 150 rental properties very successfully. In February 2008 Homenet relocated to its own business premises - 5 Springbok Single, Kriel and at the same time Andre¹Kasselman decided it was time for him to join the business. The business consists of 6 staff members. In April 2010 the Homenet franchise was rebranded to join the International brand of Harcourts. Being part of the Homenet era meant the familiar JR (Jack Russell mascot) was often spotted in town and schools and at promotions. Saying farewell to JR and the Homenet brand was not easy but Cheryl recognised that the move of rebranding to Harcourts was a very positive one. This was a very exciting move for Cheryl and her team as it bought about the input of international expertise and added value offering to the running of her business and with the introduction of a new high-tech, world class data base system, Harcourts Kriel has brought about a new era in email marking which has improved communications with her clients and once again proving that Harcourts truly is a value based company. As part of the rebrand Cheryl was one of only a few Principals chosen to attend the Harcourts Australian Conference which was held in Brisbane. As an office -Harcourts Kriel is involved in supporting their community. They have sponsored many schools sports team¹s gear as well as supporting Kriel Hospice by taking part in the Walk for Life. A percentage of all commissions earned is donated to the Harcourts Foundation which supports various charities nationwide and locally. Harcourts Kriel is a fun group of people. The office is always game and they take the Harcourts fourth value fun and laughter very seriously and they believe it is important to take your job seriously but it is as important to have fun as a team.
